Summary
The Daglade family invite a friend, René Belségui, to spend a month with
them at their house in Provence. René realises that Marie-Thérèse,
whom he has long loved, is preoccupied with the young tutor she has engaged to instruct
her child during the summer holidays. When she realises that her goddaughter, Claire,
has also taken a shine to the young tutor, Marie-Thérèse has a violent confrontation
with her...
