Summary
Louis Alban returns from a business trip in America and intends to spend a peaceful New Year at his home in Switzerland.  His plans are upended when he receives a greetings card from his young son Jérémie, who lives in Paris with Alban’s ex-wife.  Reading that his son is being beaten by Bob, his mother’s partner, Alban rushes off to Paris to rescue his son.  Unfortunately, he doesn’t know exactly where his wife lives nor who Bob is. He also does not realise that he has fallen victim to a cunning ruse planned by his son...
Review
This fairly run-of-the-mill comedy-drama would make rather tedious viewing if it were not for the fine comic performances from Jean Rochefort and Michel Galabru.  The rambling, overly contrived plot is at times difficult to keep up with, but constant stream of comic situations – however ludicrous – prevents the film from losing the audience’s interest.
