Summary
The small South American republic of Guadalarma is ruled within an iron fist by the tyrannical Don Salvador, assisted by his right-hand man Don Ramón.  The jailer Michel Dumartin is accused of supporting the faction opposed to Don Salvador’s regime and soon finds himself imprisoned in the fortress awaiting his execution.  His wife Christine is prepared to do anything to secure his release and begins to flaunt with Don Gaspar, the cruel governor of the fortress.   The latter agrees to postpone the execution if Christine hands over to him a small fortune in jewels, hidden on her ranch.  To get to the ranch, Christine must overcome numerous obstacles.  Fortunately, an amiable boy named Luisito comes to her aid and she reaches her destination safely, only to find that the ranch has been raided by bandits...
