Summary
In the Ardennes forest, the mare Mirabelle is the finest horse of a party of woodcutters.   Wrongly blamed for causing an accident by Patrick, her owner’s son, the mare is taken away and sold, leaving behind her foal, Pom.  Deprived of its mother, the young horse becomes withdrawn and moody.  Overwhelmed with compassion for Pom, the groom Julien decides to act...
