Peloton d’exécution (1945)

Peloton d’exécution is a French war film first released in 1945, directed by André Berthomieu.  The film is based on a novel by Pierre Nord and stars Lucien Coëdel, Yvonne Gaudeau, Pierre Renoir, Abel Jacquin and Georges Lannes.  It has also been released under the title: Resistance.  Our overall rating for this film is: good.


Forced into the German army, an Alsacian man named Hans finds himself heading a section in the Gestapo.  He uses his position to rescue captured Frenchmen and support the resistance in their efforts against the Nazis.  Hans’s efforts are ultimately compromised when he falls in love with a young woman in the French resistance...
