Monsieur Naphtali
1999 Comedy

Review
Awful.  Although the central premise of the film (a satire on the gullability of the middle classes) has some mileage, it is so badly realised that it fails at just about every level.  The overly exaggerated characters are so unconvincing and badly portrayed that you can’t help wondering why the screenwriter and actors ever bothered giving up their day jobs.  Shallow, pretentious and totally lacking in charm and narrative coherence, Monsieur Naphtali is an unbearably bad film.
