Summary
A theatre troupe puts on a satirical review which lampoons popular figures at the time.  Jean-Baptiste Clément, a wealthy industrialist, wants to have the review banned.  He arrives at the theatre and is mesmerised by the beautiful Amanda, the female star of the show.  To stay near to her, he agrees not to protest, provided he is given a part as an extra.

Review
This lightweight musical comedy was a box office disaster when it was first released, despite an impressive cast. Pairing off the international sex symbols Monroe and Montand may have seemed a good idea on paper but their on-screen rapport lacks any real sparkle.
