Alessandro Blasetti, Hervé Bromberger, René Clair, Luis García Berlanga
Drama

Summary
Four stories of love inspired by the fables of Jean de la Fontaine...
Death and the Woodcutter:
El Rubio, a humble young piano player who lives a modest existence, is suddenly involved in a police inquiry. When he loses all that he possesses, he starts to think about killing himself...
The Crow and the Fox:
Prosecutor Château-Thierry guards his wife Colombe jealously, by keeping her locked up in his apartment. One day, a shady garage owner is acquitted thanks to his brilliant defence. Overwhelmed by his client’s compliments, Château-Thierry invites the garage owner to his home and introduces him to his wife. This turns out to be a big mistake...
The Hare and the Tortoise:
Léo is an Italian count married to Madeleine, but he is also having an affair with another woman, Mia. The seemingly discreet Madeleine is prepared to use every weapon at her disposal to prevent Léo from leaving her for his mistress...
The Two Pigeons:
Charles and Annie are two people who have nothing in common, but they are forced to spend the entire Easter weekend together when they manage to lock themselves in a room. This experience affords them the opportunity to reflect on their existence and the cruel twists of Fate that have brought them together...
