Synopsis
Dressed as Saints Anthony and Nicolas, two carefree individals, Boule and Pons, set about distributing presents to the children of their Provençal village on the feast of St Nicolas.  After being knocked down by a cart, they find themselves in Hell, where they are taunted by Lucifer and his minions.  A timely prayer removes Boule and Pons from this inferno of sin and torment and they find themselves at the gates of Paradise, where they are placed on trial by the holy saints.  Through the intervention of the Virgin Mary, Boule and Pons are pardoned and allowed to return to Earth.  The two men waste no time repaying the saints for their mercy...
