Film Synopsis
The theft of some secret documents kept in the office of Andrei Smoloff, commercial attaché at the Russian embassy, brings together a team that includes Captain Jean de Lursac and Vigo Curruci, who is in charge of the case. Try as he might, Smoloff is unable to convince Borghine, an agent of the Soviet secret services, that he is innocent of the disappearance of the documents. De Lursac and Vigo's investigation soon reveals that Smoloff is connected with Lilia, a seller for a renowned fashion designer, and Patrick, a car retailer. While de Lursac's wife Christine keeps an eye on Lilia, Smoloff is kidnapped at the entrance of the Russian embassy. Because Smoloff is the only one capable of deciphering the encoded stolen documents, the Russians suspect that the French are responsible for his disappearance...© James Travers
