Summary
Count Réginald de Malveneur lives in his ancestral castle with
his wife Estelle and their little daughter Geneviève. His
spinster sister Magda occupies herself with the running of the
house. According to an ancient legend, the first of the
Malveneurs trained wolves for the hunt, but he was transformed into a
wolf by a curse and began to attack the locals. Since that
day, the inhabitants of the nearby village have kept their distance
from the Malveneurs. Whilst busying himself with his biological
experiments in his laboratory, Réginald suddenly goes missing,
along with his gamekeeper. One night, Estelle hears a piano
playing The Forgotten Waltz,
a song that her husband Réginald was very fond of. The
next day she is found dead...
