Summary
Laurent Lamaison, a young plumber, falls in love with Dominique Dupré-Granval, the daughter of a wealthy banker.  When Dominique’s parents hear of this, they resolve to put an end to the match, seeing that Laurent is a far less worthy son-in-law than the man they had in mind.  When he wins the jackpot on the lottery, Laurent decides to have some fun at the Dupré-Granval’s expense...

Review
Even such stars as Michel Galabru and Stéphane Audran cannot snatch this bargain basement comedy from the hungry jaws of oblivion.   Le Gagnant fails in just about every department, although it does manage very well to evoke the late 1970s, and makes you very glad that you aren’t still there.
