Synopsis

After losing his job as a church warden, Léon Ménard heads for Paris to meet up with the singer Mary Pinson. With Léon engaged as Mary’s accordion accompanist, the couple soon become famous and decide to open their own nightclub. When Mary rejects him, Léon gives up everything and takes to singing in the streets...
