Synopsis
Monsieur Richard is summoned to his home by a mysterious phone call.  Not long afterwards, the millionaire business man is found dead.  The disappearance of several old masters would suggest that Richard was killed in the course of a burglary.  Lechat, the police inspector in charge of the investigation, thinks otherwise.  An obvious suspect is Richard’s wife, who may have done the deed so that she could claim a generous life insurance payout.  And she may have had another motive.  It appears that, not long before his death, Richard had fallen in love with a young actress and was planning to leave his wife...
