Summary
Hélène Régnier walks out on her drug-addicted husband Charles after
he brutally attacks their son. She stays in a run-down hotel whilst her injured
son convalesces in hospital and files for divorce. Charles’ bourgeois parents are
determined that Hélène loses custody of her child and so engage a private
detective, Paul Thomas, to discredit her. When Paul fails to uncover any incriminating
evidence against Hélène he starts plying her with hallucinogenic drugs and
begins weaving a cruel web of deceit, leading to a harrowing and dramatic climax...
