Summary
After the death of his father, Amerigo is disappointed when he learns
that he will not inherit his farm. Instead, he must work in
Florence for his uncle, a wealthy wine merchant. Here, he meets
Bianca, a beautiful prostitute, and falls hopelessly in love.
Bianca has extravagant tastes and to prove that he is richer than he is
Amerigo has no choice but to steal from his uncle...
