La Tête de maman (2007) - film review

Lulu, 15, doesn’t just have the usual teenage problems to contend with.  She also has what might be called a problem mother.  For some time, Lulu’s mother, Juliette, has been withdrawn, hardly talking, never smiling, taking no interest in anything around her.  Watching an old home video, Lulu is surprised to see her mother as she used to be – happy, laughing and full of the joys of life.  At the time, which was years before she married Lulu’s father, Juliette was madly in love – with a man called Jacques.  Believing that this will restore her mother’s spirits, Lulu sets out to find Jacques and bring him to her...
