Synopsis
Under the cover of darkness, two men put into operation a meticulously planned
escape from their prison. To the surprise of the prison staff,
one of the men ends up back in his cell. The man is interrogated
by the head warder and the prison governor, but he refuses to say a
word about the breakout. In fact, he hasn’t spoken at all
throughout the entire time he has been incarcerated. This
incident coincides with the arrival of a new prisoner, a man who
insists he has been wrongly convicted. His anger adds to the
growing mood of rebellion that is sweeping the prison. After
committing a series of disturbances, the prisoners are punished by not
being allowed to watch a football match final. This merely fuels
the simmering resentment...
