Summary
Daniel is the son of a guru hoping to recruit others to his sect during a tour of France.  He shares none of his father’s beliefs and lives an aimless life, without purpose or meaning.  Twenty-five generations later, another Daniel lives alone in an underground shelter, whilst the world above him is in ruins, devastated by war, disease and every kind of natural disaster.  What terrible combination of circumstances connects these two men?
