La Maison sous les arbres (1971) - film review

Since their arrival in France, Philip and Jill, an American couple, have found their relationship increasingly under strain.  Things come to a head when, one day, their two children are abducted.   Noting that Jill is psychologically disturbed, Inspecteur Chameille suspects her of kidnapping the children and has her taken into custody.  He later releases Jill when she convinces him of her innocence.  On her return home, Philip tells Jill that the kidnappings were orchestrated by a powerful corporation, to force him to participate in industrial espionage...
