Summary
Nina manages one of several institutions that were set up in France, immediately after the Liberation, to provide homes for children who had lost their families in the war.  Once the Nazi concentration camps are liberated in 1945, these improvised children’s homes receive a new influx of youngsters, survivors of the holocaust who are still traumatised by what they have lived through...
