Overview
La Divine poursuite is a French film comedy first released in 1997,
directed by Michel Deville.
The film is based on a novel by Donald E. Westlake and stars Antoine de Caunes, Emmanuelle Seigner, Élodie Bouchez, Denis Podalydès and Robert Plagnol.
It has also been released under the title: The Gods Must Be Daring.

Synopsis
A group of thieves steal a priceless statue from a museum on Mali and
send it on to their accomplices in Lyons. The plan is to sell
copies of the statue to members of a squash club. The group’s
leader, Krassmeier, is horrified when he learns that the original
statue has been mixed up with copies...
