Summary
In a sleazy Parisian pornographic cinema, the bored ticket seller tells the story of her life to an attractive young projectionist.  Her intention isn’t to chat the young man up.  It’s to get him into bed with one of her clients, a fifty-year old homosexual.

La Chatte a deux tetes photo
Jacques Nolot’s second film as a director is in marked contrast to his first film, the thoughtful and rather moving drama L’Arrière-pays (1998).   With its narrow scope, confined setting and ugly cinematography, La Chatte à deux têtes feels like an exercise in pointless artistic self-indulgence, tedious to watch and frustratingly self-conscious.  The main difficulty with the film is that it’s not at all clear what statement Nolot is trying to make, and it just feels like an inexperienced and unimaginative filmmaker having a go at playing the auteur just for the sake of it.
