Summary
Having bottled out of his wedding, Antoine flees to Paris, where he gets a job as a barman with his friend Vincent.  The two men are persuaded by a fortune teller that their horoscope will lead them to future happiness.  Sure enough, both men quickly discover romance, thanks to their horoscopes.  Unfortunately, the brothers of Antoine’s jilted bride soon appear on the scene, and are not too happy to see their prospective brother-in-law in the arms of another woman.  Meanwhile, Vincent’s attempts to win over his new amour, an estate agent desperate to earn her commission, are proving far from successful…
Review
Despite one or two amusing visual gags, this easy-going comedy from Jean Girault (the director who is best known for the Louis de Funès Gendarme films) has difficulty sustaining its rambling narrative and feels pretty dated, even by the standards of the late ‘70s.  The far-from-subtle acting and juvenile humour makes the film far more suitable for children than for adults, although fans of Michel Galabru will doubtless enjoy his cameo appearance.
