Overview
L’Apprenti salaud is a French crime film first released in 1977,
directed by Michel Deville.
The film is based on a novel by Frank Neville and stars Robert Lamoureux, Christine Dejoux, Claude Piéplu, Georges Wilson and Jacques Doniol-Valcroze.
It has also been released under the title: The Apprentice Heel.

Synopsis
Fifty-something shopkeeper Antoine Chapelot is settled in his dull
bachelor life – or rather he is until the day he meets Caroline, his
solicitor’s 22-year-old trainee. The two fall in love in an
instant and, each realising that the other has a thirst for adventure
and a taste for the finer things in life, they decide to embark on a
career of crime. They conceive a cunning plan to deprive a
wealthy family of its rightful inheritance...
