Synopsis
Pierre Gastié-Leroy is ill-suited for the life that Fate has marked out for him.
The son of an obscenely wealthy arms manufacturer, Pierre wants only to help those less
fortunate than himself. His father rebuffs him for his idealism and gives him a
job in his factory – with disastrous consequences…
Film Review
Popular comedian Pierre Richard gives free rein to his anarchic brand of humour in this
chaotic comedy in which he, once again, plays a sympathetic idealist who has a penchant
for spreading disaster wherever he goes. The plot is a bit of a shambles (a clumsy
attempt to make light of some serious social themes) but the incomparable Pierre Richard
is on fine form (as is his co-star, Bernard Blier) and there is some great comedy, including
a number of brilliant visual jokes.
