Summary
Released from judicial care, Thierry Chartier, 18, is given a chance to
start over again. He returns to Heuzecourt, a small village in
Northern France inhabited by farm workers and retired miners. It
is here that his paternal grandmother lives. Thierry earns a
living by helping out in the fields and lending a hand to his
grandmother on her farm. But after an accident in which someone
is killed, he is arrested and given a seven year suspended prison
sentence. Twice condemned, but of crimes of which he is
blameless, will Thierry ever be allowed to live the life of an innocent
man...?
