Synopsis
Vincent is the most seductive of cat burglars.  His speciality is stealing paintings and making his escape via the museum roofs.  Arriving in Paris, he finds a job with Monsieur Lemercier, a picture framer.  This will make it easy for him to move about the Louvre galleries, where he often stops to admire the Mona Lisa.  It also allows him to get to know the museum guard, an avid chess player.   One day, Vincent sees an attractive blonde woman at the window of a brothel named Mona Lisa, where every woman resembles Da Vinci’s model.  Vincent is glad when he learns that the blonde woman, Nicole, is only the cleaning lady, but his attempts to seduce her fail as she considers him too poor.  Instead, Nicole agrees to be the assistant of a magician named Merlin.  Disappointed but not defeated, Vincent decides to meet up with Nicole three days later in Avignon, where Merlin is to give a show.  This should be enough time for Vincent to steal the Mona Lisa, or so he thinks...
