Synopsis
This is the story of three women who work in the same radiology department in a hospital
and who are all having mid-life crises. Cécile lives alone with her teenage
son, but has the occasional amorous adventure. Isabelle is married with two children,
but doesn’t get on with her husband or his friends. Adeline, the youngest, spends
her life clubbing and bed-hopping. All three women have different ways of relieving
their frustrations...
Film Review
Whilst this film is competently made, with some good acting performances, it has some
difficulty engaging the spectator. With so many principal characters, the narrative
is fragmented to the point that the film appears unfocused and superficial. The
fact that the none of the four female leads is particularly likeable doesn’t really help.
Perhaps the best part of the film is Cécile’s entrapment of Gilquin (ably played
by Jean-Louis Trintignant).
