Summary
Thérèse wins 200 thousand francs to spend at a
department story. Her practically minded in-laws expect
that she will claim something useful but instead she comes back with a
lynx cape. A storm of reproach and anger breaks over
Thérèse’s head and, in the end, she is glad to be rid of
the troublesome object.
