Synopsis
Tyvian Jones is invited as a guest to the Venice film festival, at which will be presented the premiere of the screen adaptation of a book he wrote.  Tyvian is a mean and unscrupulous man whose reputation is based on lies. It was under his own name that he published a book written by his brother, recently deceased.  He meets Eva, a French woman who has decided to become a modern female Don Juan.  She doesn’t want to love or be loved.  Very soon, Tyvian becomes fascinated by Eva and even follows her to Rome, where he will suffer a series of humiliations at Eva’s doing.  Having grown tired of this obsessive love, Tyvian decides to flush all thought of Eva from his mind by marrying Francesca, a young and beautiful girl.  But has Tyvian  really managed to free himself from Eva’s grip...?
