Synopsis
François Dominique, known as Domino, and his friend Mirandole
head back home, having failed to make their fortune in Africa.
When Jane, Domino’s mistress, puts an end to their relationship, Domino
decides to sell his only possession - an African statue. He
therefore turns to Jacques Heller, the owner of an art gallery, to help
him out. Having explained the situation on the phone, Domino is
invited by Heller’s wife Lorette to an art exhibition given by
François Cremonne. Meanwhile, Heller has just
discovered a letter addressed to his wife from a man called
François and concludes that she is having an affair with
Cremonne. Fearing his game may be up, Cremonne offers Domino some
money to make Heller think that he is Lorette’s lover...
