Synopsis
On his release from prison, small-time crook Riton has just one thought: to take his revenge on his rival Jockey Jack.  He has never forgiven Jack for stealing a prostitute named Rocky la Braise from him, thereby depriving him of a comfortable income.  In the course of a chase, the two men end up at a theatre where Jockey Jack’s cousin Jérôme Martinet works.  Jack kills Riton accidentally and hides his body in the case of a double bass belonging to Jérôme.  He then hides himself in a clothes basket, which is carried to a seventh floor apartment, along with the case containing the corpse.  Jockey Jack and his victim end up at the home of Pierre Michon, who is throwing a lavish party.  It is here that Rockey is about to bed her new boyfriend Jo when she discovers the case containing the body of her former employer...
