Coupable (2008) - film review

When a wealthy man, Grandville, is found dead in his home, the police - led by Inspector Louis Berger – suspect that he was murdered by his wife, Blanche.  An ambitious young lawyer, Lucien Lambert, is hired to defend Blanche.  One evening, Lucien pays an unsolicited call at the Grandville house and meets their cook, a strange young woman named Marguerite, who turns out to have been Grandville’s mistress.  Before he died, Grandville was on the point of leaving his wife to begin a new life with Marguerite.  Could this be a motive for murder?
