Synopsis
A bizarre dream about the disappearance of a painting causes Marc-Antoine, a lowly council
employee, to fall out with his wife Mélanie. Encouraged by a serving girl,
Hélène, Marc-Antoine starts to paint and quickly acquires a certain celebrity.
However, disillusioned when he is unable to sell paintings of other subjects, the aspiring
artist decides to retreat to Camargue, followed by his adoring Hélène....
