Clubbed to Death (Lola)
1996 Drama

Review
This film scores highly on visual style but not much for narrative content.  On the plus side the film has an almost shockingly vibrant cinematography and some credible portrayals of young people hooked on the drugs culture, notably by Elodie Bouchez and Roschdy Zem (both cult figures in French cinema).  Yet despite all that, the film’s lack of structure and plot makes it hard to engage with.
