Summary
Returning from a hunt, an Inuit Canadian named Tivii learns that he must present himself with his family on a health boat for a medical examination.  When he is diagnosed with tuberculosis, Tivii leaves his wife and children to be treated in Quebec.  He is sent to a hospital where no one speaks his language and where his customs make him an object of fun amongst the other patients.   Only his immediate neighbour makes an effort to understand him...
