Camping sauvage (2005)

Camping sauvage is a French romantic film drama first released in 2005, directed by Christophe Ali and Nicolas Bonilauri.  The film stars Denis Lavant, Isild Le Besco, Pascal Bongard, Jean-Michel Guerin and Martine Demaret.  It has also been released under the title: Wild Camp.  Our overall rating for this film is: good.


During a camping holiday one summer, Camille, 17, finds herself in a state of near-terminal boredom.  Then she meets Blaise, a forty-year old who has just been hired as a sailing instructor.   Despite the difference in their ages, Camille and Blaise share the same feelings of angst, and this brings them together.  But their liaison is soon noticed by their entourage, who are scandalised by what they see, or rather what they imagine.  Undeterred or perhaps encouraged by this hostility, Camille and Blaise embark on a passionate love affair...
