Synopsis
Likable yet stone broke, Mimmon dreams of being rich and
famous. For the time being, he gets by as a taxi
driver. One evening, he meets John Deveau, a seductive and
wealthy man who introduces Mimmon to the world of his imaginings, a
world where every pleasure and every vice can be bought. Under Deveau’s
influence, Mimmon thinks that he has
finally arrived, that this gold-plated hedonistic milieu has need of
him. But in reality he has fallen into a perverse trap, for the
amusement of Deveau and his friends...
