Boxes (2007) - film review

Anna, a fifty-year-old English woman, is moving into her new house on the coast of Brittany.   She is surrounded by boxes containing the objects that she has accumulated in her lifetime, objects that each holds a special memory for her.  Her whole life is here, carefully wrapped up and stored safely away in numerous boxes.  As she opens the boxes, she is revisited by her parents, she recalls the three men in her life and the three daughters they gave her.  These memories, so precious and so vivid, fill Anna with hope for the future, providing an assurance, perhaps, that she will once again find true love...
