Summary
Léon Ménard leaves his home in the country to find work
in Paris, hoping that he will soon marry his sweetheart
Charlotte. A suspicious stranger named Bob finds him a job as
night watchman in a hotel. Bob relies on Léon’s naivety to
break into the hotel and steal the jewels of a wealthy Dutchman,
Monsieur Van Dongen. When the theft is discovered, Léon is
the obvious culprit...
