Summary
On the island of Marie Galante, Guadeloupe, a party is in full swing to celebrate the birthday of the town’s popular mayor, Horace Ste Rose.  The festivities prove to be short-lived, however.  Two days later, Horace learns that his wife, Lucia, has been kidnapped whilst passing through Paris.  He is incredulous when he is notified that she will only be returned to him if he agrees to surrender some land that belongs to him, land that will be the location for a large development complex.  Determined not to give in to blackmail, Horace’s family immediately descends on Paris and begins to galvanise support amongst the local Antillaise community.  They have just three days to find Lucia...
