Summary
Alex Meyer was once a successful director of musical comedies but since his wife left him he has lacked the inspiration to continue in his profession.  One day, he gets an idea for a musical but his former producer refuses to back him.  It has been three years since Alex directed his last show and it is just too big a gamble.  Undeterred by this setback, Alex is determined to mount the production, using the limited resources as his disposal.  He hires a warehouse from a friend, engages a promising young composer, and recruits a team of talented but inexperienced actors.  If enthusiasm and bravado were the only things that counted, Alex would have a sure-fire hit on his hands.  But is this enough to succeed?
