Adieu Gary (2009) - film review

An urban wasteland, a place where no one lives anymore – except for a few individuals who have chosen to stay.  These include Francis, a hardworking mechanic, and his son, Samir, who has just returned to the area after a long absence.  Their neighbour is Maria, who lives alone with her son José.  The latter lives under the misapprehension that his father is Gary Cooper.  The legendary actor would not be out of place in this desolate wilderness, which increasingly resembles the set of an old western...
