Summary
Quentin, aged 20, escapes the fate of his working class father when he manages to get his novel published and becomes an instant celebrity.  He basks in the admiration of those who are nearest to him, including his childhood friend Jimmy and his wife Julie.  Quentin’s life is upended further and faster when he meets Samir, a young North African who falls madly in love with him...
